PSG gets back to winning ways after suffering a defeat last time in Ligue 1. They secure all three points over Bordeaux, thanks to a first-half strike from Mbappe.

Before, Neymar doubled their lead early in the second period, and Paredes then wrapped up the win just after the hour mark.

They could have scored a few more after being awarded a penalty, but this was overturned following a VAR review.

Messi then struck the woodwork late, so it finished 3-0.

Starting Lineup:

PSG (4-3-3): Keylor Navas;

Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes;

Leandro Paredes, Danilo, Georginio Wijnaldum;

Neymar, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe.

BORDEAUX (3-4-2-1): Gaetan Poussin;

Stian Rode Gregersen, Marcelo, Anel Ahmedhodzic;

Enock Kwateng, Joshua Guilavogui, Jean Onana, Danylo Ihnatenko;

Remi Oudin, Yacine Adli; Alberth Elis.

Goals:

Mbappe fires the hosts ahead after a lovely move by PSG in the final third. Messi fires a pass into Wijnaldum on the edge of the box, who quickly flicks it through the Bordeaux defence to Mbappe, who smashes the shot past Poussin and into the back of the net. It’s 1-0.

2-0! Messi is allowed far too much time and space on the edge of the box, and he feeds Hakimi in behind down the right, who then squares the ball across to Neymar in the six-yard box, who coolly converts from close range.

3-0 to PSG. Neymar goes close after a low cross from Mbappe but can’t entirely turn it towards goal before PSG have a shot blocked. However, Bordeaux can’t clear the ball. Instead, it bounces around in the box dangerously before eventually falling to Paredes, who shows great composure to beat two defenders and then fire the ball into the top right corner.

So, what’s next?

This win sends PSG 15 points clear at the top of the table, and following up for the leaders is a trip to Monaco.

Meanwhile, Bordeaux remains bottom, four points from safety, and they face Montpellier next time out.
