Barcelona is accepting an exchange contract with Bayer Leverkusen for Kai Havertz, according to a source.
Havertz is believed to be on the radar of several clubs around Europe, he had another outstanding season with Leverkusen.
Liverpool and Manchester United were both linked, but Bayern Munich is believed to be leading the 20-year-old chase.
Having already made initial contact with Leverkusen, Barca could contend with Bayern for Havertz, indicated German outlet Sport1.
The Catalan giants are unable to equal the Bundesliga club’s almost nine-figure value, because of the lack of income caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Nonetheless, it is believed that Barca could sell a few players and a smaller sum of cash to the international Germans.
Emerson Leite, Carles Alena, and Marc Cucurella are said to be the players Barcelona is prepared to join the company.
