To get Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz, Bayern Munich has risen as favorites this summer, the Telegraph reports.
German giants regarded the 21-year-old as a future member of a new-look frontline. The defensive midfielder has been strongly linked to Chelsea in recent days, along with Man City’s Leroy Sane.
It’s unclear how Bayern will finance both deals but, they’re closer to Bayer’s valuation of their key player than Chelsea, according to the source.
Bayern is in fact globally out of the fight for Germany, as they try to improve other positions, report many sources.
The potential teams may have to spend at least £75 m to make this deal possible, as the 21-year-old is already one of the world’s most desired stars.
However, as Bayer is under no pressure to sell, they could be pressing for an even bigger transfer price that may be an issue for the Blues who have already negotiated the transfer from Ajax to Hakim Ziyech and all but likely to close the deal for RB Leipzig to Timo Werner in the nearest future.
