Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski nominated as one of the three finalists for The Best-2020 award, which is scheduled to take place on December 17.
The club’s head coach Hans-Dieter Flick believes Lewandowski is the most deserving.
“It’s an important goal for him, a big dream. I don’t think anyone deserves this award as much as Robert did this year,” said Flick to Bundesliga official website.
“I think the whole team, the whole club and the fans have their fingers crossed for his dream to come true. We will all be happy if he gets the prize on Thursday.”
Among the three finalists, Lewandowski is joined by Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will take place online.
