Barcelona saw a defeat against Inter with 1-0. So far 3 points in this Champions League since the opening 3 matches we have seen so far. Barca might be on top of the game of La Liga but Tuesday’s match against Inter was a blow as they slipped. In the first half ending, Hakan Calhanoglu scored 1 goal which is the only goal of the match. Pedri almost nailed the goal for Barca but it was ruled out by Video Assisting Referee who decided to not offer the goal to Xavi’s losing team.

The Performing Side:

Pedri: In Tuesday’s match the best player did what he can and almost had the goal but the handball by Ansu Fati was ruled out as a no Goal. Inter put a lot of pressure in this match however Pedri outperformed in his position of midfielder making him the best midfielder in the world.

Simone Inzaghi: Even after a lot of pressure as they went through the disappointing start of the Serie A season, the manager of Inter was able to gain an edge on Xavi with Barca for qualification next to Bayern Munich. Marcos Alonso and Raphinha could have been a threat but were soon neutralized by Matteo Damian.

Karim Benzema: Barca facing an injury crisis as the first Clasico season is just 12 days upcoming. It could prove to be trouble for Benzema if Andreas Christensen has to go off because of an ankle injury as he will be joining with Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo.

If this Brazilian winger chooses to play from the right, he could do wonders but Xavi’s decision to make him play on the left proved it was not his best against Inter. After an hour of the game, he was replaced with Marcos Alonso.

Sergio Busquets: Being out of position when Calhanolgu was striking, Busquets couldn’t reach across and counter the ball. After this goal, it might be difficult to be dependent on this operator.
