Barça had struggled to hold him as last year Semedo tried to quit, offering him regular play, but the Catalans didn’t want to hear the offers. He was desired by Manchester City, along with Atletico Madrid.
The team needs 45 million euros but is open to a trade deal. Barça has given the green light to Semedo’s representative, Jorge Mendes, to discuss the player’s exit.
Semedo’s contract expires in 2022, and he has to move this summer to avoid a fall in his price as his renewal has recently come to an end.
