Against third parties, the club did not conduct a smear campaign, this was determined by an audit into the relationship between Barcelona and I3 Ventures.
Barca wrote summing up the findings of the report on its official website, “the contracting on behalf of FC Barcelona for various services related to the monitoring and analysis of social networks did not include any defamatory campaigns aimed at third parties.”
No proof of corrupt financial activity was observed by PwC and noticed that the price was “within market range” paid for the company of Barca I3 Ventures.
In response to the findings of the report, Barca said: “The Board of Directors shall instruct the legal services of the Club to resume and, if necessary, bring the relevant legal action against those who have made false and unfounded accusations which have seriously damaged the image of the institution and those who are part of it.”
“In those proceedings launched against the Club on the basis of alleged irregular behavior that this document clarifies and denies, the content of this report and its conclusions will also be brought forward.”
