After a relatively quiet game for 90 minutes, the match exploded into life for the last 10 minutes of added time. Atletico Madrid took the lead in the 92nd minute after Hermoso’s shot was deflected over Costa and into the net.
The defender continued to be in the limelight as he handled the ball in the box to give Porto a penalty five minutes later.
Uribe scored the penalty despite Oblak getting a hand on the ball.
The two goals meant Atletico had more time to find a winner.
And they did so from a corner in the 101st minute.
Witsel won the initial header from Lemar’s cross, flicking the ball onto Griezmann at the back post to give the hosts a 2-1 victory.
