Aston Villa’s scheduled home Premier League match on Sunday with Everton was postponed.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak at the former club, the Premier League meeting between Aston Villa and Everton will not go ahead on Sunday.
On January 7, Villa disclosed a “significant” coronavirus outbreak the day before they were due to face Liverpool in the FA Cup.
A new date for Villa’s clash with Newcastle United, which would have been played on December 4 had it not been for a coronavirus outbreak at St James’ Park, was also confirmed by the league.
While a later date will be rearranged for the Everton match, the game is now set to take place on January 23.
