On a reduced capacity basis Arsenal aims to invite fans back on 3 October to the Emirates Stadium for their home clash with Sheffield United.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the game was suspended in March, later England’s football resumed playback in June and has been played behind closed doors.
However, on Saturday the first steps were taken to welcome some fans back to the grounds as at the Amex Stadium about 2,500 people attended the pre-season friendly game, Brighton against Chelsea.
Arsenal has now updated their efforts to try and welcome fans back to the Emirates in the not too distant future on their official website. While the first home game of the 2020/21 Premier League season against West Ham will be played behind closed doors, Gunners expect the clash with Sheffield United on a reduced capacity basis will allow crowds back to 3 October.
