For the summer window, Mikel Arteta officially compiled a three-man transfer shortlist and prioritized the recruitment of seasoned players to the squad of Arsenal.

In the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, Arsenal secured a victory over Chelsea and the first management season of the Spaniard finished at a massive high.

In next season’s Premier League the focus is to make Arsenal more competitive, with Arteta set to be backed up to improve in different positions.

The former Manchester City assistant plans to move to a 4-3-3 formation in 2020-21 and has three players in mind to fit into the scheme, according to The Times.

On Arteta’s wanted list players to fit in the frontline are Barcelona outcast Philippe Coutinho and out-of-contract Chelsea forward Willian, while Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is the third man.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
