Barcelona were going in the correct way claims Antoine Griezmann towards their quarter-final match in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
The 29-year-old admits that he had to develop into that game and he was the first of two replacements Quique Setien made in the second leg of their last-16 tie during Barcelona’s 3-1 victory against Napoli.
“On a physical level it’s tiring due to the heat and the accumulation of matches, but the strangest thing is to play without our fans and their support,” Griezmann said (via MARCA).
“We see their messages on social media and this helps us through difficult times.”
“On a personal level, it was good for me to have a few days to be able to recover and play against Napoli.”
“In the first minutes of the Napoli game I had no rhythm, but little by little I felt better.
“[We] could see that they really wanted to play a great game, and we are on the right track.”
