Former Liverpool player John Aldridge has shared his thoughts on the possible transfer of Reds forward Mohamed Salah to Real Madrid.

“If you are a player of Salah’s caliber, you will always be linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and other similar clubs. Harry Kane will be next when Tottenham crumble. That’s the way it goes,” Aldridge said to Liverpool Echo.

“Personally, I think after the incident in that Champions League final and the way Ramos handled it, I would have hated Real Madrid if I were Salah. It doesn’t apply to me, but I still wouldn’t want to leave Liverpool.”

As a result of a clash with Ramos, Salah was injured in the 26th minute of that game. The Egyptian was subbed and Liverpool lost the final 1-3.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
